Getting interviewed by professional engineer will make you trembling a little bit if you are a fresh graduate who just want to apply job in a certain company. Sometimes, an engineer who have 3 - 5 years experience will shake a bit if the person who interview him or her is really an expert in engineering profession.
You simply cannot run from technical questions that might come out. Who say it is easy to become an engineer anyway? It doesn’t matter which line are you in -Â whether civil, mechanical, electrical, software, computer, biomedical or chemical engineering, the questions are going to be hard to answer. You cannot expect a simple question like how to design a beam (if you are civil engineer), how to turn on computer (computer engineer) and so on. You have to realize that the engineering line is a professional job which hold many responsibilities.
You need to have the basic knowledge and study even more on the technical things. Believe it or not, it is not enough just by studying in universities, some knowledge can only be found when you make an effort to do some research. And some knowledge you can only earn through years of experience in working as an engineer.
If you have the knowledge that has just been mentioned, than you should not have any problems getting a job in any company. In fact, the company will glad to have you as part of the team. The key to success during an interview is you must believe in yourself that you can do it. Even you don’t know a certain things, the interviewer might still take you as his worker if you show how confidence you are on answering the questions.
Engineer is a respectful job. People tend to look high and admire you if you are a successful engineer. That is why an engineering company wants the staff they hire is capable to give solutions anything related to the engineering field.
